The Story of the Psychotherapist and the Web - Trying hard, poor results

The explanation of what this site is about begins with a story. This (true) story is about a psychotherapist who had been slowly building her practice over several years, but still needed more clients.

She cultivated her referral network, she was listed with her local associations and, like many modern professionals, she had a simple, but well designed web site created for her.

It worked, but not well enough. She still needed to grow her practice to fulfill her personal goals, and to earn a reasonable living.
